The Greer Special Request Pedal is a true tone enhancer. This pedal is a single knob boost, but there’s so much more going on with it.
The Greer Special Request features a moderate amount of boost, and is based on the circuitry that is found in some of the world’s most expensive amplifiers. You know which ones we’re talking about, right? The ones that regularly sell for prices nearing $100,000. Let’s just say that their prices aren’t so Humble…and that’s where this D-Style FET Preamp comes into the picture! Some of those amps have a FET and a Normal input. The FET input is truly special. There’s a FET based preamp between the guitar, and the first gain stage. The Special Request is based on that circuitry. It features an internal voltage doubler, that pushes 9 volts to 18 volts, and should only be used with a 9 volt battery, or a 9 volt power supply.
Don’t let the single knob fool you—there’s more than meets the eye here. This pedal gives you a boost, but it also does a lot more. There’s a “feel” component that comes along with it. There’s some slight compression that happens, as well as some textural enhancement associated to a unique and selective midrange performance. Without being any brighter or harsh, the Special Request exposes clarity and more focus with both single notes and chords being more articulate. The Special Request can be set to unity gain to utilize its assertive tonal properties, or can equally be used to increase the touch sensitivity of a good tube amp. At higher settings the Special Request becomes more forceful with an amplifier pushing it further into saturation. The strong character of the Special Request has a particular talent in stacking with other drive pedals as well, creating a more focused, dynamic hi-gain sound.
Try it in front of your drives, as well as last in the signal chain, right before your amp. The unique response of this pedal provides different tonal options, in each position!

Pug At The Beach loves Jack Canfield

Far too many people wander through life unfulfilled because they lack the skill set needed to experience life to its most bountiful. That's in part due to a fear of asking for that which brings us what we need, want or desire.

Ask and Ye Shall Receive...

The writing and the approach in the book are not earth shattering. In fact, I wish there was a little more meat or pizzaz in the content. So, why the recommendation? Simple - the content at its core is incredibly powerful - and we all need the reminder. Our gentieel approach to communications and emotional interaction has left us forgetting to ASK for things. We expect the world to be mind readers, and get upset, frustrated or depressed when we don't get what we want. Of course, since we never actually ASKED for what we wanted, we rely on guesswork and luck to achieve our dreams and goals.
The genie in the lamp could grant wishes, but those wishes needed to be spoken by Aladdin. Similarly, we are all in a position to achieve our goals and dreams, but they must be spoken. Even within ourselves, we cannot harness our own power of desire and subconscious until we solidify the desire by asking for it.
An absolute must read - even if the writing style is a bit flat - the content is NOT.

Great book, however...

There are many great things about this book and very useful advice and information, however it is very repetitive and some of the excerpts are a bit long and boring. I still recommend it, just be warned.

This book is a “must read”

Want simple ways to have more in your life with out spending more. READ THIS BOOK. It teaches how to ask for what you want. This is on my list of “books that changed my life”. I read it first many years ago. It’s principles and techniques are timeless. I now give copies to friends
